Kimberly Kincaid’s artwork has been specially selected for this occasion in memory of her. Kim has been always very supportive of Mark and this site, she kindly helped judging our art contest last year and let me interview her during the same time. Her wonderful art inspired many and I consider myself lucky to have been able to call her a friend. The artwork was created into a banner for this contest by Pen Astridge.
This post is to announce a flash-fiction writing contest, where you can win a signed (and/or dedicated) book by the following authors: Mark Lawrence, John Gwynne, Sebastien de Castell, Miles Cameron, Nicholas Eames and Josiah Bancroft, with six titles being randomly allocated among the best three entries.
.
The Rules:
Submit your entry, which is no longer than 300 words (without title) and features the words ‘day’ and ‘night’, below.
The competition closes on 17th July 2017. All entries will be posted HERE.
Judges of this competition are as follows:
JOHN GWYNNE
SEBASTIEN DE CASTELL
MILES CAMERON
NICHOLAS EAMES
JOSIAH BANCROFT
MARK LAWRENCE
AGNES MESZAROS
This is an international competition, open to everyone.
Please note: You won’t receive an automated email notification after submitting your entry. I will upload it onto the site as soon as I will have the time, which might be straight away, but might be just hours later or even the next day. If I have any questions or concerns regarding your entry I will email you. Please don’t re-submit your entry, unless it doesn’t appear on the site within 48 hours after submitting it.
Please don’t worry about any formatting related differences, they don’t always show properly due to technical issues. They will not affect the judging.
As usual, the shortlisted entries will receive feedback from the judges.
Very best of luck, everyone! – Agnes.

Giving this a reblog, since I figured I might as well throw 299 words at the wall and see if they stick.
